Mobile Development Tool Analysis and Comparison
What I am really looking for is a tool that can help me build an app that anyone would want to download, not one tied to a specific business need, but a general app that is worthwhile. Maybe the ones that are really needed are for a big group that can login and get content and share content.
Here is another company's comparison for reference: https://www.comparakeet.com/best-app-makers/ I will take a look at these in the order found in this link. Perhaps their top pick will be enough for me:
ShoutEm
The ShoutEm app can be found at this link and you can try it out for free: http://www.shoutem.com/ This solution assumes to have users that will login to your app. It seems like it is more for a business app for your users to download and read content from you, etc. This is like a custom app builder for business that want to interact with their customers and allow the customers to buy stuff through an in app store.
I am logged into the Trail Account on this website and trying to figure out what I can possible do. It doesn't seem like I can do anything here. Maybe it behooves me to actually find an app I want to create for people to download and then find the right tool to do that job.
Appery.io
AppMakr.com
Talk about lame. I created an account that is associated with my Google+ account. I login and it takes me to their "Machine" screen. There is a menu of sorts but it is impossible to select any of the menu items to get started. I can click a link above the Machine frame to take me to their Market and I see apps in the Market so I have to think that someone was able to use the Machine, but I cannot. I tried it with Chrome and Internet Explorer with the same sad results. I tried it with Microsoft Edge to no avail. Such a lame tool. I give it a 0 out of 10.
